Blazer Beauties

One fashion trend that's back are blazers. Not only are they in style, but they can be worn any time of the year. They can be dressy or casual and paired with many ouftits. Blazers come in a variety of colors, prints, materials and styles. They became a big trend during the 1980's and have changed through out the years. You can see from the pictures above how an oversized blazer is worn in the 80's. Actress Shenae Grimes wears hers fitted and simple with a pair of blue jeans while Vanessa Hudgens wears it with an adorable maxi. The hot pink blazer is daring yet a great choice against that white dress. It really makes the outfit pop. Blazers can be worn with jeans, shorts, dresses, or leggings. With the cold weather coming, pair it with a shirt, jeans, scarf and boots. They come in a variety of styles such as big, fitted, long, or short so it can flatter all body types. Therefore, you really can't go wrong with this fashion trend. Be a blazer beauty!

Nuts for Neon

The new look everyone is going bananas for is Neon! First seen in the 80's, this trend formed a new way to make any outfit pop, and in 2012 not much has changed. Back in the 80's shoelaces, windbreaker jackets, and scrunchies were just a few ways to add the bright color to your wardrobe. Today, accessories are the most common way to add the color, but as seen on recent designer runways, whole outfits are composed of the bright hues. Only few are daring enough to wear a whole outfit filled with neon colors, so things such as bracelets, bags, earrings, and even nail polish help splash the color into any street wear. The colors recently became very popular to wear to Electronic Music Festivals such as Electric Daisy Carnival, Electric Zoo, and Ultra Music Festival, and seem to be sticking around for everyday wear. Whether its a small accessory or a whole outfit, the trend is sure to stand out regardless of how small. Being daring and creative with it makes it a fun way to spruce up your current wardrobe. Have fun, be daring and go try this look, you will surely get some attention!

Leg Warmers

The leaves are changing and it's time to keep warm in this cold weather.  Just because it's that time of the year to bundle up, doesn't mean you shouldn't stay trendy yet comfortable.  One great way to accessorize and stay warm is wearing leg warmers.  Leg warmers are a fashion accessory but also have practical use.  Leg warmers were first worn in aerobic classes in the 80's and with athletes to prevent cramping after exercise.  Popular films such as Footloose and Flashdance helped popularize legwarmers.  Some women may be skeptical about this style coming back but there are different ways of wearing them so you feel yourself.  Leg warmers have all different types of colors, textures and sizes.  You can put them over leggings, jeans or wear them tucked into boots with a few inches sticking out at the top.  You can dress the up with a skirt or dress, or keep it causal with leggings and jeans.  Either way you choose to wear them, it's all about comfort.  If you want to make a statement with your leg wear, leg warmers are the way to go!

Sneaker Obsessed

Stylish shoes, comfortable too! Well these two brands of sneakers are the classic high top chuck taylors and vans. They're back and bigger than ever! As you can see from the pictures above, they have improved the original styles with several materials, colors, and patterns. These shoes can even be customized to express your inner self. The designs include studs, plaids, metallics and much more. What a cute way to add some pop to your outfit with an adorable and fashionable sneaker. After all, sneakers affect the mood you're in and why not brighten it up with a classic. Lace up!

Lovin' Leggings

80s fashion leggings 80’s Fashion Trends & 80s Costumes

Within the past couple of years leggings have comeback with a bang! Not only do they come in a variation of lengths but they also come in different textures and designs. Back in the 80's is when the trend first originated, and thank the gods it had come back because we all know how comfortable they are! The usual style now a days is just a simple black, but back in the 80's they loved color. They would pair any bright color with a baggy sweater and leg warmers. I guess the trend of being comfortable never goes away!
You can currently see styles such as tribal, designs, and stripes. Recently such thing as a Jegging have been invented. This is a very stretchy jean material that is just as comfortable as the legging. The thing about these leggings that keeps them coming back is the convenience of throwing something on, being comfortable and still looking put together. Its great to have a pair in your close for a day around the house or a night out with the girls. They can go with a nice pair of boots or your slippers at home. Anyway you wear them, just be careful because you won't want to take them off!

Trend Report:High Waisted Shorts

One of my favorite past trend are the high waisted shorts.  High waisted shorts have become the fastest growing staple in the closest of the most fashionable celebrities.  First spotted on the fabulous legend Marilyn Monroe, high waited shorts have made their way back to present day.  From denim cutoffs, to leather, wearing these shorts sure will get many heads turned.  Celebrities such as Miley Cyrus, the Kardashian girls, Jennifer Lopez, Nicole Richie and many more are all spotted wearing different styles of these shorts. Pair the shorts with a cropped top or a bold color shirt tucked in and you will be all set to go!  Urban Outfitters has a variety of these shorts but are most famous for the "cheeky".  Feeling not bold enough to show all that skin, don't worry there are plenty of other styles you can choose from.  Another plus from this trend is going through your mom's closet and grabbing a pair of her old Levi jeans and making them yourself.  It's easy and a great way to save money.  Get ready to show off those legs girls!

Show Off Those Shoulders

Now we all remember 1983's romantic drama Flashdance. Jennifer Beals had worn that famous off the shoulder top while she danced as if her life depended on it. Well, it's back. This look is stylish and comfortable. It can be worn casual with a pair of skinny jeans and flats, or dressy with leggings, heels and jewelry. Showing a little skin can be chic and cute. You can see Victoria Beckham wearing an adorable off the shoulder tee while doing errands. She keeps it simple while spicing it up with fun accessories. With the cold weather coming, layer this look up with leggings, boots and a cozy jacket. What a feeling!

Be A Bomber Babe

So you want to be as cool as Sandra Dee? Try a Bomber Jacket. This style of jacket has been around for many years. In 1978, you can see Sandy from the movie Grease wearing the trend, and it's still being worn today in 2012! Nicole Richie sports the trend out and about doing errands with her daughter. Not only has this look lasted but its evolved into something cool and chic and is wearable for the everyday girl. With the cold weather right around the corner what better way to edge out an outfit then a cool, warm jacket. Yes, the black leather and zipper look are still in (like the one you see Sandy wearing) but going with warm earth tones like you see on Nicole are great for the current Fall season. Cooler colors also help spruce up the look and make it a little more girlie. A trend like this has lasted for so long because it can be worn in many ways and paired with so many different outfits. It can be worn during the day running around or even at night to dinner or a party. Try this cool edgy look with your wardrobe this season, it won't disappoint!
