Fashionable Fingerless Fun

In the earlier century, none other than Michael Jackson was the fashion icon for fingerless gloves.  Michael Jackson was seen wearing a variety of these gloves but was infamous for sporting one fingerless glove on his hand in the 80's.  Many designers are selling these gloves such as Michael Kors and Rag&Bone.  Recently we are seeing celebrities rocking the fingerless gloves such as Lady Gaga, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kanye West and Janet Jackson.  Fingerless gloves are a fun fashion accessory.  They come in different colors and textures for your personal taste.  One great addition to the fingerless gloves is when it's cold out and you are driving, you're able to keep your hands warm with the gloves on and drive at the same time.  The gloves also are made now wear you can wear them fingerless or pull the fabric over your fingers so your entire hand is covered in the glove.  We all know how important our phones are so another great thing about these gloves is you can keep them on and text at the same time.  These gloves are functional and fashionable at the same time!

Boots Were Made for Walking

One fashion accessory that never fails are booties. Booties can be dressy or casual and paired with a range of outfits. As you can see from the pictures, Madonna wears her studded booties in the 1980's with neon socks and leggings. You can see today it paired with a white tee and an adorable mini. The model to the right has moccasin themed booties and wears it with a dress. Booties come in many designs, flats or heels and have a variety of patterns, prints and materials. They now even pair dressy booties with cocktail dresses. As the holidays come closer, wear a pair of heeled booties with tights and a dress. You can stay fashionable while keeping those feet warm!

Read my Red Lips

Red lipstick has been around for as long as anyone can remember. Recently we have seen it more and more, not only on the runways but for the everyday fashionista as well. Usually different hues are popular depending on the season, but deep reds, burgandies, and bright reds are the most common colors worn. Affordable brands include Revlon, Covergirl, and Maybelline while some high end brands are Chanel and Dior. The more expensive brands can retail for up to $50, while the ones sold in drug stores usually go for about $8-10 a stick.
The person who is most commonly known for making the standout pout popular is the sexy girl God Marilyn Monroe. She was often seen wearing bright reds that can help any women standout. Nowadays, celebrities such as Taylor Swift and Gwen Stefani have helped bring back the lip craze.
Try the trend for a night out or during the day and you are sure to make a statement.

When it comes to sunshine, a bold pair of sunglasses are on the top of your list.  One of the most popular sunglasses today are the Ray-Ban Wayfarers.  These sunglasses have become increasingly popular over the years.  RayBan Wayfarers sunglasses were popularized by many celebrities such as Bob Dylan, Andy Warhol and Marilyn Monroe.  In the eighties these sunglasses could be seen on everyone from Madonna to Michael Jackson to Elvis Costello.  Wayfarers got huge press and sales when they were spotted on Audrey Hepburn in the movie Breakfast at Tiffany's.  These sunglasses over the past few years are now worn by all.  Ray-Ban Wayfarers have a little bit of retro to them but at the same time can be worn with modern every day outfits.  The great thing about these sunglasses is they come in all different shapes and styles to best suit your face.  Ray-Ban Wayfarers also created a line with different colors to add a bold statement with your outfit.  Whether you are going to the beach or heading out for a day of fun, grab a pair of these shades and you will be all set to go!

Blazer Beauties

One fashion trend that's back are blazers. Not only are they in style, but they can be worn any time of the year. They can be dressy or casual and paired with many ouftits. Blazers come in a variety of colors, prints, materials and styles. They became a big trend during the 1980's and have changed through out the years. You can see from the pictures above how an oversized blazer is worn in the 80's. Actress Shenae Grimes wears hers fitted and simple with a pair of blue jeans while Vanessa Hudgens wears it with an adorable maxi. The hot pink blazer is daring yet a great choice against that white dress. It really makes the outfit pop. Blazers can be worn with jeans, shorts, dresses, or leggings. With the cold weather coming, pair it with a shirt, jeans, scarf and boots. They come in a variety of styles such as big, fitted, long, or short so it can flatter all body types. Therefore, you really can't go wrong with this fashion trend. Be a blazer beauty!

Nuts for Neon

The new look everyone is going bananas for is Neon! First seen in the 80's, this trend formed a new way to make any outfit pop, and in 2012 not much has changed. Back in the 80's shoelaces, windbreaker jackets, and scrunchies were just a few ways to add the bright color to your wardrobe. Today, accessories are the most common way to add the color, but as seen on recent designer runways, whole outfits are composed of the bright hues. Only few are daring enough to wear a whole outfit filled with neon colors, so things such as bracelets, bags, earrings, and even nail polish help splash the color into any street wear. The colors recently became very popular to wear to Electronic Music Festivals such as Electric Daisy Carnival, Electric Zoo, and Ultra Music Festival, and seem to be sticking around for everyday wear. Whether its a small accessory or a whole outfit, the trend is sure to stand out regardless of how small. Being daring and creative with it makes it a fun way to spruce up your current wardrobe. Have fun, be daring and go try this look, you will surely get some attention!

Leg Warmers

The leaves are changing and it's time to keep warm in this cold weather.  Just because it's that time of the year to bundle up, doesn't mean you shouldn't stay trendy yet comfortable.  One great way to accessorize and stay warm is wearing leg warmers.  Leg warmers are a fashion accessory but also have practical use.  Leg warmers were first worn in aerobic classes in the 80's and with athletes to prevent cramping after exercise.  Popular films such as Footloose and Flashdance helped popularize legwarmers.  Some women may be skeptical about this style coming back but there are different ways of wearing them so you feel yourself.  Leg warmers have all different types of colors, textures and sizes.  You can put them over leggings, jeans or wear them tucked into boots with a few inches sticking out at the top.  You can dress the up with a skirt or dress, or keep it causal with leggings and jeans.  Either way you choose to wear them, it's all about comfort.  If you want to make a statement with your leg wear, leg warmers are the way to go!
